8.30 Children arriveBags go in a locker and children put their name up on the board. If your child doesn't recognise their name help them out but please don't do it for them. Lunch boxes go on the kitchen bench where a teacher will put them in the fridge. Please hang out with us for while.
8.45 Morning greeting mat
We come together to sing our greeting songs, and then break into age/stage appropriate groups.
9.00 Free play
Children can choose where they play (inside or out), activities are set up and group activities planned if children would like to join in. Time is taken to build on individual children or group interests.
9.30-11.15 Morning tea
Children can choose when they want to eat. Fruit is put on food table. A teacher is responsible for this time, supervising the table and reminding those children who forget to eat to do so.
11:30am Tidy up time
We encourage children to take responsibility for the environment, working together to keep it tidy and safe.
11.45am Karakia for food..
11.50am Lunch time
Lunch is a great social time, sitting around the tables chatting about all sorts of things.
12.20pm Rest time
All children have their own individual pillow (blankets in the cooler months) where they lay down to rest quietly or read a book and listen to stories. Children that are known to fall asleep will be given a small mattress and linen.
12.45pm Free Play. Again children can choose where they want to play, inside or out. Continuing on with the mornings activities or creating new ones.
2.15 Tidy up time

Ka Kite, goodbye song, children going home. Story, game or music. Sharing learning stories.
2.45pm Home Time.
